Starts with a phone call
Please call us to talk! (505) 877-7352. We find that conversation is our best starting point to understand what you are looking for in a dog. If the dog is not the right one, we will keep your name and contact you if a matching dog comes along.
If all seems like a match after the initial phone conversation, you will next come see the dog.
Meet the foster dog
We like to have everyone in the family come meet the dog. If you have another dog, we like to have you bring your dog. After meeting the foster dog, we often suggest you go home and think about it because it’s a such a big commitment.
A home visit will sometimes be needed.
Adopt
If all seems like a match after the meet-n-greet (and home visit if needed), then you will fill out a short contract form, accompanied by adoption fee.
We’ll then plan together for how the dog will transition to its new home.
